This month's coloring page is for kids who love transportation, the sea, mice, scuba diving and have big imagination. That pretty much covers all kids, yes? Our lovely coloring page artist, Melanie Hope Greenberg, created this submarine coloring page featuring a scuba diving mice in an underwater landscape with fish and kelp, and is the absolute cutest.
We never like you to go away with "just a coloring page" so we have a great tip for how to use the submarine coloring page for an extension activity that encourages pretend play.
Coloring Page Extension Activity
First, head over to Melanie's other underwater scene coloring page and print that one out.
Second, print out the submarine coloring page (By clicking on the following link you agree to our terms of service* see end of post) -->: Submarine and scuba mice coloring page
Next, after your kids have fully colored both pages, find a large piece of cardboard on to which both sheets will fit and create a theatrical backdrop for the fish puppets your kids will make from the under the sea coloring page. Here's a photo to see how it's done.
Kids will have a grand time practicing their storytelling skills while playing with their fish puppets against the backdrop of an extended underwater scene!

And..... be sure to ask your kids, are these scuba mice the same ones that pick apples in the fall?
