Here is an indoor activity idea from the very first days of this blog. Don't spend your money on fancy pretend play furniture! Idea First Published 12/27/07
I made this super duper fancy pretend play oven and stove from a cardboard box I snagged from the grocery store.
I used a sharpie to draw the burners on tops and cut a door in the front for the oven. I added that gorgeous and luxurious red ribbon to the door to make opening and closing it easier.
As you can see from the photo, Kiddo made some delicious stew out of his wooden street signs.
Special thanks to grandma and grandpa for supplying the awesome cooking pots and utensils set to give me some extended free time while Kiddo cooked me a scrumptious meal!

that is just plain awesome! I have to do this for my LO ..she's been wanting a stove & we don't have a lot of room! 😀
I just made her baby doll a high chair out of a box the other day so this will fit in nicely 😀

I totally agree - I have to make an outside stove like this for Anna today. I am pretty sure I will have a free hour in my pocket 🙂
