Thanks so much! I have to admit that a few years ago, I would not have listed Dr. Seuss as one of my favorite children's authors either, but I have since changed my mind! At that time, I had not read some of his (in my opinion) better works, and, like you said, he is so great for the early readers. My four-year-old loves figuring out all his made up words.

Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't admit that I'm not a Seuss fan, but now I'm owning it! But I can't argue with his popular appeal and that is a great thing for books and reading.
