Hi Joy, I find most board game age recommendations to be very conservative. Meaning that if you have 5 and 7 year old kids who are well versed in board games, they can most likely play this game. It would probably be an extra fun game for your 1.5 year old to wreck. 😉

Is that because of the dark or the game mechanics? I have a 5 and 7 year old who are used to board gaming (and 1.5 year old who is used to wrecking the board...lol) and can game independently when they know the rules and the game is geared towards children.

As the kids get older we are increasingly a board gaming family, and we love it as a way to build up a friend group, too. Thanks for sharing!

Anything that shakes things up and sparks the imagination is a winner. And bonus points for the spooky theme.

I hadn't even thought about power outages! That is a great idea.

This is JUST what we need! We lose power in our rural community a few times a season. Our high functioning autistic son is not a fan of power outages. After the last one, I started pulling together a “power outage” box with different activities, flashlights, and snacks for the next one. This would be the coolest addition! Thank you so much for this post!
