Have you listened to Redwall on audiobook? It’s great, all different actors and sounds like a play.

Thanks for all the recommendations! Our absolute favorite is the How to Train Your Dragon series by Cressida Cowell. I have an eight and six year old and we have listened to the twelve book series at least four times over the last couple years. David Tenant narrates ALL the voices and it is spectacular. We haven’t found anything else that holds a candle to it since but I’m looking forward to trying the books on this list.

(It won an award and everything.)

I also loved Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George and Pip Bartlett's Guide to Magical Creatures by Jackson Pierce and Maggie Steivater. Fun stories, great narrators.

I’m a children’s librarian as well as a mom and I was thrilled to find this list on Pinterest. Our family considers audiobooks a requirement for road trips! Some that we have loved are “Cricket in Times Square” read by the wonderful Tony Shalhoub, “Peter Pan” read by Tim Curry (yes, that Tim Curry!), all of the Ramona and Henry Huggins books, and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. Can’t wait to try many on your list!

I’m an Auntie to 4 amazing kiddos and will have to send the list to my sister. And maybe download a few for myself. 🙂 Thanks for putting this together!
