I'm planning a geology unit for my kids soon and I just put nearly all the books you listed on hold at our library.

I don't know how many times after Kinder Princess has pulled off her shoes, tipped them upside down, and out hasa fallen a grden full of leaves. "I collected these for you, Mumma!"

I now have a nice collection in a tub in the kitchen, waiting for some crafting to be done 🙂

I'm not sure what the fascination is, but man they love rocks. Most are what I call "parking lot rocks" and I gradually get them back outdoors. The others we have scattered around the garden. Maybe we'll have to start finding a safe place to throw them too.

My sons love to collect rocks as well as shells, as shells are more in ample supply here than rocks.
Enjoyed your post...

Happy Tuesday!

One of our neighbors has a gravel driveway, and he would bring that entire driveway home if he could! He's transporting it home, little by little, on our walks =)
