They are good for a mixed age group and for both boys and girls.

His accent makes the story even more fun to listen too. I was able to hear it about a dozen times and still enjoy it. Its quite long, great for a 3 hour drive.

You could read it to a 6 year old if he is an experienced listener.

We started in on audiobooks when I had a vocal chord injury that limits how much I can talk/read, and then found how perfect they were for road trips. Now we always have one in the car for the 20 minute drive to school each day. I love having a queue of next options that other parents have recommended.

Oh my gosh, these books are awesome - we just found them before a car trip this winter break. Our kids allLOVED them - no fighting, no complaining. They actually kept asking us to put them on. Good for boys and girls, and worked well across multiple ages for us. (Thank goodness. We haven't had that luck with all audiobooks.) And it is REALLY visual, so the kids were completely engrossed. My littlest even asked for paper after to draw Maria and the tree! You can't go wrong.
