My students have enjoyed "The Cazuela the Farm Maiden Stirred" by Samantha R. Vamos. This is a cumulative tale in the style of "The House That Jack Built". This has many animals and food ingredients to make a delicious recipe.

My mom used to tell me the stories of Juan Bobo and also la Cucarachita Martina. I was so happy when I found the story of Juan Bobo and the pig and the story of la Cucarachita you review here at the library! Now I could read them to my daughter!
You got me interested in a few more books, got to keep reading!

I love your folk tale lists! We've only read a few but my kids really enjoy folk tales and I forget to go to that section of the library!
