It's the true story of the 19th Century Deaf baseball player William Hoy who taught umpires ASL signs for safe and out so he could play the game he loved. Kids all over the country are writing letters to the National Baseball Hall of Fame asking for him to be inducted. He's next chance is in 2025. It's on many state reading lists, including the Texas 2X2 list. It has great support from the Hoy family and friends. It's been translated into Japanese, Korean, Spanish and in the fall, Swedish.
